Welcome to a very special MidWeek Muse Wednesday, one I’ve been plotting and planning for months, and am now thrilled to finally be able to share.
You may recall a rather cryptic hint I dropped a number of weeks ago, when I mentioned that there was a huge project I’d been working on and that it was nearing the finish line.
Normally “finish line” suggests the end of something, but today it’s all about beginnings and in this case the beginning of a new line of products, taken right from the pages of my sketch books.
Joggles Rubber Stamps!!
Based on my drawings, I have 21 cling mounted, high quality rubber stamps that are made right here in Rhode Island, in the newest section of Casa Joggles that I fondly call The Rubber Room.
This adventure began more than a year ago when I finally made the decision to invest some time in my art, but rather than journaling or mixed media, I was determined to listen my drawing muse. For years I insisted that I couldn’t draw, that doodling was my forte, but all the while she kept whispering in my ear that I was wrong.
What you see today as these new rubber stamps are the result of 18 months worth of sketching, erasing, and beginning again until I was satisfied enough to share my designs. As with our stencils, I filmed a video to show you each of the stamps along with a few techniques.
You’ll see my Scribble Flowers and how I create them along with Stickles and Liquid Pearls as embellishments for the images and some other fun bits. There are flowers, leaves, Wonky Houses, some background images, and some silly characters that I just love.
