I’m fascinated by books and journals. I’m happiest when up to my elbows in paper, ink sprays, and glimmery stuff, or when I’m actually building a book or journal from the ground up.
Today’s video offers the best of both worlds as I make a simple tunnel book. You’ll see me create the pages, including using a handy-dandy circle cutter to cut the openings in them. I’ll show you the two possible inspiration stamps that are the focal image which will be viewed through those circular openings. I’ll color the pages in a couple of ways and will show you how to use a mask when stamping to create the illusion of a figure standing behind a fence.
With Halloween right around the corner this project is quite timely since most of the stamps I’m using are from Stampotique Originals and feature the whimsically creepy (who would have thought those words would work together?!) imagery they’re famous for.
