Ranger has discontinued the ATC size of their Glossy Paper. Once I found out I rushed in and bought the last of their stock, with the thought that we could give it away, and today is the kickoff of that offer! Spend at least $30 on Ranger’s Alcohol Ink products and we’ll give you one package of the ATC sized Glossy Cardstock.
To sweeten the pot even further, we’re putting the entire Ranger line of Alcohol Ink products on sale at 23% off, so your dollars go further AND you get the freebie, if you meet the spend threshold.
In today’s video I’ll demo several quick and easy background techniques you can use on your glossy cardstock ATCs, giving you some ideas for working with the inks on that surface. Interestingly enough, the inks bloom on glossy cardstock in much the same way as they do on Yupo, and you’ll see me demo that technique.
The freebie offer and sale begin today, January 6, 2017 and ends at 11:59 pm ET on Wednesday the 11th, or until supplies are exhausted.

Hey Barbara – do you know if the alcohol ink would work on photo paper? Every time I get a new box of printer ink at work, it comes with a pack of glossy 4×6 photo paper. I have a ton of it! The size would be great for postcards. Thanks, CAL K.
Hi Cal – I have not tried them on photo paper and I don’t have any to test, sorry. It would only take a movement for you to… just let a couple of drops of any color ink fall on a piece of the photo paper and see how they behave. Do them bloom? Not move at all? Maybe just spread out in some unpredictable pattern?
I’ll bring some of that glossy photo paper home from work next week and give it a try…I’ll let you know how it goes!
Inspirational as always! My mind is working overtime on the next adventure….now to find the time.
The alcohol ink does work on the photo paper, but in a limited way. You cannot play with it endlessly. Usually once the colour is dry, that’s it , it will not move much any more. Ask me how I know. Thanks for the video, Barb. I have used alcohol ink on bamboo tiles, dominoes, glass, metal, Yupo with success. Probably other things I can not remember…
Forgot to say, I also used Sharpie pens ( which have alcohol in them) on a cotton shirt and it worked very well. The shirt has been machine washed and dried with no problem…
