Today I’m combining collage sheets, accordion books, and Global Art and Strathmore art journals to create several different things… some beautiful journal spreads that showcase birds and a couple of styles of accordion books that feature the Watercolor Succulents imagery. Add in pale shimmer using the Daler Rowney FW Pearlescent Inks or shimmer that’s a bit deeper in color using Lindy’s Starburst Sprays and you’ve got combinations that are sure to please.
Over the last few months I’ve spent a fair amount of time creating new collage sheets that feature wonderfully unique watercolor imagery – the aforementioned succulents, plus fish, butterflies, and feathers – along with botanical plates, Halloween images, cigar box labels, butterflies and other flying things, fairy tale characters, and more too numerous to detail. I’ve found them to be handy to have around; they make wonderful additions to many kinds of projects, are simple to use, and are a nice alternate when you don’t have time to stamp and color an image.
