I love crowns and have several as decor items in my house. I found these marvelous metal crowns at a show and knew I had to have them. Because… I think a lot of us are attracted to them. What’s not to like after all??
In today’s video I’ll demo several ways to add color and bling… because in my world a crown needs bling. Preciosa Rhinestone Chain is my primary bling of choice, but you’ll also see Tim’s Smolder Alcohol Pearl color and Gilding Flakes make some impressive shimmer too. Add in some Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and it’s shimmer all around. Scroll to the bottom of the post for a few photos…
Supplies For This Video:
Prima Re-Design Chalk Paste (I used Chalky White)
Tim Holtz Alcohol Pearls (I used Smolder)
Nuvo Embellishment Mousse (I used Pure Platinum on the silver crown)
Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Flakes (I used Summer Meadow)
Aleene’s Thick Designer Tacky Glue
Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Shakers
Dina Wakley Gel Medium (I used the matte version in the 1 ounce bottle)
Finnabair Mechanicals (make fab embellishments. I used the butterflies on my pink/gold one)

What is the base crown made of? Also, can you use white gesso instead of paint? Can I use any type of paint that I have for coverage? How about using Mod Podge for the glue?
Love these! My brain is on fire creatively!! I see so many options
