Since there was so much interest in last week’s ATC video I decided to expand on the theme and use the new colors to create backgrounds on another set of 6. I’m doing the same thing; applying and blending colors over ATC sized papers that have a layer of gesso on them. This allows the Crayons to glide and smudge better and for a longer period of time than if you’d just applied the color to a dry piece of paper. I’m also using the new colors of Crayons with an Ink Blending Tool and a stencil, though this week I’m working with a full-sized one.
The colors in these two sets are nice and you’ll see me reach for Set #4 since I lean toward pastels. I use a couple of colors from Set 5 with the stencil which provides nice contrast. There are now 30 Distress colors available as Crayons!
