The 2016 Art Journal Adventure – Week 30
      July 25, 2016

Some days.  Some days nothing will come.  Today is one.

Oh, I tried.  I had a page partially done.  Hated it, tore it out of the journal, got really pissed that I did since it meant I had to fix the hanging, no-longer-stitched-into-the-binding bit that was left.

Took a great deal of joy in tossing the torn out page into the recycling bin and decided there would not be one today.

      Came to my senses.

Decided creating something, anything was better than walking away.

And thusly, I give you today’s page.  With no prompt other than “persevere”.

      2016-aja-week-30-1

Choose Ink Spray colors you like and spray on the page.  You may as well fall back to your happy colors.  No sense in making things more difficult than they already are.

      2016-aja-week-30-2

Add Lindy’s.  Because you love shimmer.  If you’re going to make the bloody thing you may as well add stuff you love.

      2016-aja-week-30-3

Choose Sticky Snippets™ made from a previous session.  When you were actually having a good time.  I digress.

      2016-aja-week-30-4

Write on said Sticky Snippets™.  Bitch.  Moan.  Get it out of your system.

      Scribble around the Sticky Snippets™.

      2016-aja-week-30-5

Walk away from the flamethrower that is tempting you to incinerate the entire journal.

      Add border.  Call it done.

Love your honesty. Thank you for sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly. Gives me hope! Praying the worst part of the week is over for you!

Are not Monday’s just sometimes like that… Should just pull the covers over your head and start a early hibernation!

Thank you Barb for the chuckle…..although I know it wasn’t a chuckling situation for you….I’ve had those days….too many times…..and yes have done things that later I regretted…..oh the temper is a thing to be reckoned with…..I do try to just walk away for those situations these days….better to return once I’ve calmed down than to trash my entire craft room….lol…..ok…I wouldn’t go quite that far….I don’t think anyway.
I love what you created despite the rocky start.

I have to add that I love it because it has that “look”…..the look of I’m not in the mood to do this…but I’m damn well going to anyway….so there!!!

Sorry you had a bad time of it but this DOES give us lesser beings a bit of hope. 😉

Thank you for your honesty — some days are just like that. I’ve had weeks like that! You do realize it is okay to just let us know there is no prompt for a week when it isn’t working for you. We would all understand and love you anyway! Hope the week gets better!

Gentle suggestion: plan a few weeks of prompts in advance. Maybe we could give some suggestions. How about something using watercolors?

Barb, Thank you for sharing. I learn something every time. Isn’t that your objective. Maybe you did not like what you did but the ideas were still there…blame it on the camera for not capturing ….
Your the best. You are so funny.
