I met Jessica Peters last November, when we both were attending Dyan Reaveley’s classes. She describes herself as someone who always had a passion to create, from the time she was a child. That led to her having a regular art practice several years ago, meeting Dy, and being invited to join Dy’s creative team in 2023. I thought it would be fun if we worked together and today’s project is her first. It features Elizabeth St Hilaire’s Hedy Lamarr Rice Paper and some other bits on a page spread in one of Dy’s Large Ledger Journals.
Supplies:
Dylusions Large Ledger Journal
Joggles/ Elizabeth St Hilaire Hedy Lamarr #2 Rice Paper
Cat Kerr Set A #6 Colorful Grunge Rice Paper
Cat Rains Stencils – Circle Web, Field Of Circles
Dina Wakley Media Stamps- Circle Patterns
Dylusions Paint – London Blue, Just Indigo, Tropical Sangria
Dina Wakley Paint – Ocean and Night
Simon Hurley Lunar Paste – No Chill
Posca Paint Pens
Stickles
This is the finished page spread Jess created. Now for the steps…

Use Collage Medium to adhere Hedy Lamarr Rice Paper and journal on the page with a gold Posca Pen
Add Dina Wakley paints in Ocean and Night and Dylusions paints in London Blue and Just Indigo to your page
—————

Apply London Blue Paint through the Cat Rains Circle Web Stencil
Using the Dina Wakley Circle Patterns Stamp Set, stamp circles randomly around the page with white ink
Journal around your layout again with the gold Posca Pen
————-

Dip a small paintbrush in water and “paint” around your favorite quotes from Cat Kerr’s set A #6 Rice Paper. Tear out the quotes and use collage medium to adhere them (I applied white paint to their spots beforehand so they would stand out)
Apply No Chill Lunar Paste through the Cat Rains Field Of Circles Stencil
Add finishing touches with Posca Pens and Stickles
