Is it a pigment Ink or a dye based one? Uniquely combining the most versatile properties of both, Distress Oxide Ink Pads pretty much can do it all. The Oxide colors match their counterparts in the original Distress dye based line reasonably closely.

Use with all your favorite stamping techniques. Oxides are opaque like a pigment ink, but in character with a dye based one you'll see well defined, crisp images. That opacity means the colors will show nicely on black, kraft, and other dark surfaces. The extended open time means Oxides can be used with embossing powder, just like a colored embossing ink. Use clear embossing powder to allow the Oxide color to shine through.

The addition of water causes the most interesting characteristic of all: oxidation where the ink takes on an aged patina effect which is unlike anything else on the market. Once dry the oxidized effect is permanent and will not rub off.

Another impressive quality of Oxide Ink is that multiple layers, applied one over another, produce distinct colors and patterns, with very little mixing. This reduces the chance of creating a muddy brown when complementary colors are used together. Creating layered backgrounds for art journal pages, cards, tags, and more is simple and easy.

Oxide Reinkers are sold in a half fluid ounce bottle with a needle tip, making reinking your pads very easy. Keep in mind that the Reinkers can be used for techniques other than reinking your pads!
