S U P P L I E S Twinkling H20s ** Niji Waterbrushes ** Mini Mister ** NonStick Craft Sheet ** Strathmore Visual Journals ** B Line Rubber Stamps ** Clear Perfect Medium ** Clear Embossing Powder ** Ranger Heat It Craft Tool ** B Line Designs Spotted Bird stamp ** StazOn Ink Pads
Here's the first thing you saw me do... just simple colors on a journal page.
Hard to see the glimmer, but this is Bronze, just washed over the page.
Bronze over clear embossing powder. I used clear Perfect Medium to adhere the powder to the page, then embossed with a Ranger Heat It heat tool. Wash the Twinkling H2O over and you see the stamped image magically appear!
Two colors!
Watercolor stamping. The first impression is the darkest at the top of the page. See how they get progressively lighter till I spritz the stamp with water... the impression that's the top left (stamped vertically) is what happened when I added a little more water via a spritz. The result is a looser, more watercolor like impression.
This is the script stamp where the paint was totally dry and I refreshed it with a a couple or three good spritzes of water. Wait a moment for the paint to activate again, then stamp. This would be very cool randomly stamped over a painted page background.
Such a silly little bird! But such simple techniques to create his colorful little body. |
