Join Janet to make your own version of her Spring Fairy doll. She will stand about 23" when completed.
Lesson One: The Head. Stitching, stuffing, needlesculpting for shape and character. Sculpting the ears and attaching. Setting in eyes and adding seperate eyelids. Adding colour to bring the face to life.
Lesson Two: Body and Limbs - Sew seperated big toe. Hard stuff and needlesculpt legs. Sew and stuff arms - including wired fingers. Needle sculpt hands. Enhancing the nails.
Lesson Three: Putting it all Together - Jointing with self cover buttons or alternatively fixed pose. Adding hair and wigging options.
Lesson Four: Dressing - alternatives. No need to be an expert dressmaker - these clothes can be made by anyone! Very little machining involved - just lots of fun!
Lesson Five: Wings - making wired, painted, angelina, fabric wings. Lots of options here for fun.
Lesson Six: Making a decorative stand to show off your doll. Add some atmosphere by putting your doll in her own 'habitat'.
Lesson Seven: 'Skinning' the face alternative and painting to give an almost porcelaine finish.
Bonus Lesson: Pin Head Doll - to wear or attach on a bag.
The supply list will be sent to all students one week before the class starts.
In order to participate in online classes at joggles you are expected to have basic computer and internet skills. You need to be able to browse the internet, know how to download and save a document to your PC's hard drive, and understand how to open and save email attachments. It is your responsibility to learn these skills before the class begins.
