Art jewelry necklace project - polymer clay and mixed media

This necklace only looks complicated! In this project, every step along the way will be explained with lots of pictures, so that you can create your own art jewelry piece, no matter what your skill level.

We will create components from polymer clay and add embellishments of beads, pearls, gemstones, crystals, wire mesh lace and more. The project emphasizes polymer clay sculpting techniques, composition and design concepts, as well as adding the mixed media components to the clay. As a bonus, you will be shown how to make your own reusable molds in order to reproduce certain beads in the piece – fun, huh?!

All the stringing elements to finish this ‘show-off’ necklace will also be covered fully in the project, as well as suggestions on how to enjoy it as an art piece when you’re not wearing it. So, join in the creativity – you know you want to!

The supply list will be sent to all students one week before the class starts. Once you buy this class you will receive an email order confirmation, but you will not hear from us again until the supply list is sent.

A high speed connection to the internet is recommended for all students.

In order to participate in online classes at joggles you are expected to have basic computer and internet skills. You need to be able to browse the internet, know how to download and save a document to your PC's hard drive, and understand how to open and save email attachments. It is your responsibility to learn these skills before the class begins.
