This class is scheduled to begin on September 23, 2009.

Made entirely from fabric and a little paint, these decorative fish are fun and easy to create.

Learn how to use a heat gun to distress the felt fish bodies and add subtle texture to the fins. After a bit of metallic paint and beads or sequins for the eyes, your fish will be ready to add a cord or pin-back for an unusual necklace or pin.

A sewing machine is required for this class.

Lesson #1:
A. Making the base fabric “beads” out of cotton and machine-stitched kunin felt.
B. Heat distressing for surface texture.

Lesson #2:
A. Creating and attaching the fins
B. Making the eyes, embellishing with paint

The supply list will be sent to all students one week before the class starts. Once you buy this class you will receive an email order confirmation, but you will not hear from us again until the supply list is sent.

A high speed connection to the internet is recommended for all students.

In order to participate in online classes at joggles you are expected to have basic computer and internet skills. You need to be able to browse the internet, know how to download and save a document to your PC's hard drive, and understand how to open and save email attachments. It is your responsibility to learn these skills before the class begins.
