Can’t travel to an art retreat this year? Looking to learn more about mixed media portraits, well then this is the class for you. The mixed media portraits that I create are made out of recycled materials, paper towels, 100% cotton muslin fabrics, just to name a few.

In this class, I will show you how to use everyday items to create portraits that are one-of-a kind and expressive of who you are.

Each lesson is full of step-by-step samples to assist and encourage both beginner and advanced students. You will learn about the various options of creating, assembling and framing your collection of mixed media portraits.

The techniques and applications learned in this class will not only help you create portraits, but will enhance your other mixed media projects.

You will learn how to:
1) create your own canvas.
2) apply texture and interest to your work by using every day items.
3) make paper and mixed media embellishments to ornament your work.
4) how to personalize your art piece.
5) explore and experiment with various painting applications and techniques.
6) sew, collage, and incorporate elements to your work.
7) have fun creating, plus much, much more.

The supply list will be sent to all students one week before the class starts. Once you buy this class you will receive an email order confirmation, but you will not hear from us again until the supply list is sent.

A high speed connection to the internet is recommended for all students.

In order to participate in online classes at joggles you are expected to have basic computer and internet skills. You need to be able to browse the internet, know how to download and save a document to your PC's hard drive, and understand how to open and save email attachments. It is your responsibility to learn these skills before the class begins.

Please be certain you are comfortable with all of these skills. Class fees will not be refunded once the class has begun.
