Welcome to Wednesday and today’s MidWeek Muse where we’re smooching it up big time, with Smooch Pearlized Accent Inks!
Colors galore and the subtle pearlized effect make these inks winners. I spent a few days experimenting and playing to see what can be done with Smooch and came away convinced that these little bottles of color and glimmer pack a punch far larger than their size would suggest.
Smooch are suitable for a host of surfaces and one thing I really like is that the colors stay put once dry, which means you can layer them without making mud. Perhaps the most amazing thing I discovered is the Smooch is water based and if you dip the applicator into a pan of water the color spreads out into a dot that floats on the surface, and that grows larger the longer you leave the tip in the water. A bunch of these dots, gently floating on the water’s surface, can be used to create marbled effects on paper. I made a bunch, then stamped on them, for a really cool effect. Be sure to scroll down the page so you see the examples – I used some of my favorite Stampotique Originals images!
That’s one of the techniques you’ll see me demo in today’s video, along with some basics like applying Smooch to chipboard pieces.
