Today’s MidWeek Muse video incorporates a couple of things that are near and dear to my heart; my grandsons and Stampotique Originals rubber stamps.
Impish is one of the words that comes to mind when I think of Max and Andy, and impish surely applies to many of the Stampotique stamps. Rogue is another word that applies to both, and when this project began rolling around in my head I had envisioned the combination of the two as a rogues gallery of characters. I settled on using a Grunge Book as the base for the project since I wanted something sturdy that would hold up to lots of paint and all of the stuff I wanted to try.
The final result is just about what I imagined back in the beginning; a rogues gallery of silliness featuring Max, Andy, and the gang from Stampotique Originals.
I had a really good time playing with photos of the kids and the Stampotique images, creating pages that are similar to mug shots or wanted posters, but with an aura of innocence and fun. How many times have you seen a flamingo convict after all? None? You will today as this one has been convicted of being “utterly fabulous”! The book is filled with more of the same, including photos of the boys that always make me smile.
