As this doll is
actually an elf, set up as a Goblin Princess I have chosen her
an elfish name: Dúlinn Melethwen, which means Nightingale
Love-Maiden. This name has been created using Tolkein’s Sindarin
and Quenya languages from Lord of the Rings. She is a gentle yet
firm creature originally from the Green Elves of the Mist
Valley.
Dúlinn Melethwen
is dressed with a protective metal bodice (made from my
favourite material - annealed coke can) with the smaller dollies
as sleeves. Her skirts are wispy chiffon and nets, with the
larger dollie and lace overskirt. All were dyed with purple dye
and topped with gold Markel paint stick.
Her sceptre is a
‘cat’ head in gold symbolising her gentle nature and love of
animals. |
