Welcome to this week’s MidWeek Muse video where we’re exploring the new Dylusions Creative Journal and Dyan’s book My Creative Journal Journey.
The moment the journals arrived I knew that I wanted to work in one. I loved the challenge of working in the larger 9″ x 12″ size – my usual go to journal is the 5 1/2″ x 8″ Visual Journal. Since I was going to work larger, I decided to bring in the Dylusions stencils in the 9″ x 12″ size – you’ll see them as new today and I can tell you that they pair wonderfully with the Creative Journal.
In the video you’ll see me demo some techniques from Dyan’s My Creative Journal Journey book; how she creates backgrounds with the Dylusions Ink Sprays, the Ghosting technique used with those 9″ x 12″ stencils, plus more to create a spread from start to finish. The book is chock-a-block filled with techniques and ideas, plus photos of Dyan’s journals to inspire you.

Love this vidéo, I have a dylusion journal just like yours and have only one page done from a lesson taken at Scrapbook Centrale in Montreal. Surely I will try this demo page. Thank you. Do you ever use a gelli plate?
