Picket Fence whitewash technique. Change the way paper or cardstock looks by adding a layer of two of Picket Fence. The section all the way to the left is a single coat of Picket Fence, the middle section was two coats, and the right was three coats.
The Distress Wrinkle Free technique done with Picket Fence. Pretty colors and a great background for tags like this or for a collage or journal page. Once you have color on the tag you can do more with it...
Like using StazOn ink to stamp the background text or acrylic paint for the diamonds on the left. Once those are dry...
Stamp your spotted bird with StazOn and the use the first watercolor technique to dab colors on directly on the stamped image. Let it dry, cut it out, then...
Add him to the tag. Add some embellishments and text and voila, a finished piece! See that piece of Venise Lace along the top? I colored it using the stains too. They're useful for more than just paper!

Whee... trees! This is the Funky Forest mini molding mat from Color Box. Of course you can use different colors if you want something other than Christmas trees. I've always loved this design and was thrilled when I realized that I could use it with the stains. I used a black .01 Pigma pen to outline the trees and add the patterns in them.
Using Picket Fence as a resist. Just dab it on, let it dry, then come back with Distress Inks applied with the blending tool. You can layer more than one color over the surface too! |
